Milano United moved out of the bottom two positions on the NFD log with a gutsy 1-0 away win at Coetzenberg stadium on 15 October 2016.

Hosts and fellow Cape Town neighbours,Stellenbosch FC had no reply to a first half, Gregory Roelf strike.

Milano were relentless in attack from the first whistle and due to sustained pressure which resulted in the kinnes being awarded a total of 8 corners in the first half, eventualy broke the deadlock from a corner set piece and a neat tap in for Roelf after Taariq Fielies shot at goal.

Left winger Dillan Solomons, had an enterprising day at the office in attack for Milano, with blistering pace on the flanks,in his first start in the NFD.Solomons is surely one to keep an eye on for the future.

The home team,Stellenbosch tried with all their might to breach the Kinnes defensive lines, marshalled by Fielies and Morris, who nullified the proposed aerial threat of Stellenbosch striker ,Zaid Patel,to great aplomb, found the resilient Milano team too good on the day as they suffered their second defeat at home.
